Free UGG workshops and live music on Brick Lane this week

UGG's running a free creative workshop and live music series on Brick Lane this Thursday through to Saturday, and it's the kind of thing that fills up fast once word gets out. We're talking free access to actual workshops plus live performances in a proper tardis-style incubator space that barely anyone knows about.

What you get

The Boiler House on Brick Lane is hosting this pop-up series from 13th to 17th May, but the main day you want is Thursday 16th May. You can roll up for creative workshops from 11am to 5pm, these aren't some corporate team-building nonsense, they're actually hands-on sessions. Then from 7pm to 11pm there's live music. It's all free. You just need to sign up beforehand or the spots'll disappear.

How to get it

1. Head to the YouTube short link in our bio or check the Clash Music feature (both links are live now). 2. Sign up for the date and time slot you want, workshops or live music or both. 3. Turn up to The Boiler House, Brick Lane, E1 6RU. Aldgate East tube is your nearest stop. 4. Rock up during your chosen time window and get stuck in.

What the TikTok didn't mention

The space itself is genuinely worth the trip. It's tucked around the corner of Brick Lane in this converted warehouse setup that doesn't look like much from the street. Once you're in, it's proper creative hub energy, the kind of place where you actually bump into people doing interesting stuff rather than just scrolling.

The workshops aren't massive productions. They're intimate enough that you'll actually learn something and chat to the people running them, not just sit in the back of a room while someone talks at you for two hours. That's the bit that makes this better than most free creative events in London.

The live music slots fill up quicker than the workshops, so if that's what you're after, don't faff around once you've signed up. Thursday night's the only slot for this particular event, so if you miss it you're waiting until next time UGG does this.

The catch

This is only running 13th to 17th May, so it's not something you can do whenever you fancy. Sign-up spots will fill up, these things always do, so you need to sort it within the next couple of days before the slots are gone.
