What's on
Join us as Pop Up Africa takes over Spitalfields Market and transforms it into London’s biggest Africa-inspired shopping experience.
Expect a vibrant showcase of up to 60 stalls featuring fashion, beauty, accessories, books, art and much more - all influenced by the diverse cultures of Africa.
With live entertainment, delicious food, and an electric atmosphere, this is a perfect day out for families, friends, and anyone looking to celebrate African creativity, culture, and community. This year our focus is on bridging the gap between the diaspora and the continent to celebrate this we'll be featuring brands straight from the continent, look out for our Rwanda and Lagos pavillions. ## How to get there
1. Liverpool Street tube. Central, Circle, Hammersmith & City, Metropolitan, Elizabeth Line. Three-minute walk to the market. 2. Aldgate East also works if you're east of the City. Six-minute walk. 3. Walk straight into Spitalfields Market. Pop Up Africa fills the central covered area. 4. No tickets. No booking. No queue, in theory, until the food stalls get rammed at lunch.
What's worth knowing
This format works on Bank Holiday Mondays because Spitalfields is already busy with the regular market, plus weekend traders, plus tourists from the City. The Pop Up Africa stalls slot into the existing space rather than replacing it.
Best time to go is 11am-1pm. Stalls are fully open.
