Chelsea in Bloom 2026, Free Flowers Across 130 Shops
Sloane Street and King's Road covered in blooms. Free entry. 18–24 May.
Chelsea in Bloom 2026 is happening in nine days, and if you've never walked Sloane Street when it's dressed up like this, you're missing one of London's best free festivals. 130 shops and hotels across Chelsea have gone full floral, and some of them are giving away actual bouquets and treatments if you show up at the right time.
What you get
Free entry. You just walk around. The entire festival runs 18–24 May across King's Road and Sloane Street, SW1X (closest tube: Sloane Square). Over 130 shops and hotels have created displays themed 'Flowers in Fashion', so you're looking at window installations, in-store installations, and some proper garden setups. No booking needed. It's self-guided, which means you can spend 30 minutes or three hours depending on how much you want to photograph flowers for Instagram.
The real perks are the freebies. Farm Rio's giving away complimentary bouquets on 24–25 May. HARI's got complimentary treatments at their Armani Flori cart (10am–6pm, 20–24 May). Diptyque's doing something too, but their bouquet requires a purchase over £150, so that's not exactly a freebie.
How to get it
1. Show up between 18–24 May to any of the participating streets (King's Road or Sloane Street, SW1X). 2. Pick up a map at any participating shop or hotel, it'll show you which displays to hit. 3. For the masterclasses (there are a few running during the festival), book through chelseainbloom.co.uk, these aren't free, but they're optional. 4. If there's a People's Champion vote happening (voting closes 22 May), cast your vote online for your favourite display. 5. Hit the Farm Rio and HARI spots on the specific dates listed above if you want the complimentary stuff.
What the TikTok didn't mention
- Best time to go: Early morning (before 10am) on weekdays if you want photos without crowds. The festival overlaps with the paid Chelsea Flower Show (19–23 May), so the area gets rammed and local prices spike. Avoid those dates if you can.
- The Farm Rio bouquets go fast: They're complimentary but limited. Show up early on 24–25 May or don't bother.
- Combine it with a meal deal: Book a First Table at a Chelsea restaurant for the evening. Half off food, and you've got a proper night out without the Flower Show premium pricing.
The catch
The entire Chelsea area gets heaving during the paid Flower Show (19–23 May), which means restaurants, cafes, and shops hike their prices. Hotel rates go up. Parking gets worse. If you're coming for Chelsea in Bloom specifically, come before the 19th or after the 23rd, you'll actually enjoy it.
The complimentary bouquets and treatments are real, but they're limited and time-specific. Don't plan your whole trip around them.
It's free, it's genuinely beautiful, and it's worth a walk if you're anywhere near Chelsea.
