£2.50 Tacos All Wednesday at Spit & Sawdust

If you're scraping by on London taco prices, Spit & Sawdust's £2.50 tacos every Wednesday will sort you out. It's all day, no limits on numbers, and the beef one's worth crossing town for. I've grabbed three before and they're properly filling.

What you get

£2.50 per taco, down from the usual £3.50-£4. All on corn tortillas with Latin street food from Afuego Burger. Sides kick off at £3.50 for fries.

Deal runs all day every Wednesday, pub's open 12:00-23:00. 485 Kingsland Road, London E8 4AU, two-min walk from Dalston Kingsland Overground, or ten mins from Dalston Junction. Dog-friendly with a beer garden and craft beers on tap.

Order your tacos, one for a snack, two for a light bite, three if you're hungry. 4. Pay at the bar, discount's already priced in, no vouchers needed.

What the TikTok didn't mention

• Best time: go post-6pm when the quiz night's on, free entry, teams of four, tacos fuel the win.
• Order the beef barbacoa, slow-cooked in guajillo chilli sauce and stout, with pico de gallo and chipotle aioli. Beats half the Dalston spots hands down. Skip the veggie if you're not into heavy spice.
• Pair with a nearby Too Good To Go from the Dalston shops after, £3.50 bag of pastries to finish.

The catch

Every taco's got chilli in it, spice levels vary, but it's not for the faint-hearted or anyone with allergies (gluten, eggs, celery in some). Ask staff first if you're sensitive.
